I actually think dailies and glasses are cheaper than 2-week disposables because you don't need solution. I skip weekends and such alot.

I used vision direct with a coupon code last time and got a year supply for around $100. I don't wear them every day so they'll last me a couple years.

Not sure of online options
I wear glasses and at least for frames, wholesale clubs are the way to go. Better suppliers and the quality of the lenses have turned out to be outstanding compared to the junk that places like lensecrafters or mom and pop shop overcharge you for.

I believe Costco is the highest rated

30 day lenses FTW. I get 3-5 months out of one pair with weekly cleanings, so a 12 pack lasts me forever. I'm also fortunate enough to have the same prescription in both eyes so I can just buy one box at a time if I need to.

Been wearing 30 day lenses for 20+ years now and have had 0 problems.

I always get the best prices at either Sams club or Costco. Being a poor college student, you may not have memberships to those, so you could try a place like Americas Best.

You can wear dailies more than once. They're just thinner versions of two-week lenses. I've gone with dailies since I alternate with glasses.

The cheapest solution is to buy in bulk, which is harder to do on a budget.

I wear Biofinity monthly lenses and for the last 6 years I've gotten then from lens.com.

Other brands or types may not be as good of a deal, but the eye Dr wants $45 a box and I can get them for $16-20 a box on the website. They don't seem to be close to outdating or NOS as every order they have been at least 3 years out on the expiration (good for me since I also make each 30day pair last 2-3 months)

I use biofinity toric lenses. I usually get 1.5-2 months out of each pair. My vision insurance covers 6 months + eye exam for $10 so once per year I go to the eye lady and get my insurance worth and see them the next year.

If you are truly broke, wear your glasses.

I probably would not trust "cheap" something that you put right in your eyes. See a real eye doctor and see what they prescribe to you.

Personally I could never do contacts, I'm too squeamish when it comes to eyes. That's why I got LASIK, at least I only have to go through it once.

Contact lenses for cheap? Not going to happen. The big 3 manufacturers (Johnson & Johnson, Bausch & Lomb, and Alcon) have set a price floor. Try to sell below the price they set, and they'll stop supplying new lenses for resale.
