Where can I try out and ibook/powerbook?

For a few days w/o being hit w/ restocking fees? Anyone know I want to give macs and panther a try.

I know the compusa by me has the ibooks on display.....not sure about buying one and returning it.

I don't think anyone offers a trial out of the store. if you go to an apple store, you pretty much can play with it all you want, without bringing it out of the store. If you show a lot of interest and trustworthiness, you may be ble to get a manager to unlock one of them so you can pick it up, and walk around in the store with the laptop. No retail store I know of will let someone take a very expensive piece of hardware out of a store for a "trial" run.

Just go to an apple store... you'll at least get to play around with it for a bit, and they have the internet and all sorts of stuff on them so it'd give you a pretty good idea.

another vote for the apple store. they encourage you to play around with their macs.

take one from your local school. they dont use them anyway. trust me.

I guess if you live in a big city you could probably rent one, some businesses rent computers that way. I think it might be expensive, in the long run it might not be though.
