I have managed to learn a great deal about comptuers online, and there's still plenty of stuff out there to read, but can't find anything on cars. You can find how to solder resistors to your mobo to raise to core voltage to 9v if you want, but can't find how to change your car's oil. I'm not completely useless with cars, but would love to learn enough to be as good with cars as I am comptuers. Any great sites you know of?

I second the HowStuffWorks website...great info!!

To find more info about your car, try find an online forum dedicated to it.

If you have a car and want to work on it my advice it to buy a service manual for it. You can get very expensive ones from the dealer or you can go to carparts.com and buy a cheaper service manual. The one from carparts.com should be enough. I used to take my oil to a tire place down the road to have it changed. That was until they forgot to put oil back in my car. Luckily my oil pressure light was on when I started the car and I made them check it out and they found their error. They said it was a quart low but that was bull. I have not been too successful in finding good sites online dedicated to car repair. Crank and chrome is a site that goes along with a show on TNN. It might be okay to check out. Hope this helps. PM me if you have any questions.

I really have no specific goals in what to learn, it's not like I'm gonna soup up my 1200cc engine to pull a 10 second 1/4 mile. I'm just more interested in gaining general info.

thanks for the links by the way :)
