I would like to purchase the Lenovo Thinkpad x201 tablet within the next month, but I cannot seem to find it.

Lenovo took it off the website because of issues with supply of i7 chips. Currently, they state that it is discontinued, but it was only released in March (2010). Digging on forums, I found out that they plan to re-release it once they complete backlogged orders. Unfortunately, a month later, and you still can't buy the thing.

Any of you guys know when it will finally be available? I don't want to have to resort to a x200 tablet.

I don't imagine it being available until they get their supply issues sorted out. If you can wait for it, then wait; if you can't wait, I suggest looking towards other tablets.

Have you looked at resellers like CDW and such? These places buy pre-configured models and sell them off the shelf like a regular retailer. I believe all the models sold through these places have 3 year warranties.

You could check http://outlet.lenovo.com to see if any X201T's show up there. Otherwise, you have to wait.

Those powersellers are out of stock as well. They state that they will be shipping once available, aka they will buy from Lenovo when they can buy a bulk batch, and then turn around and sell it to me.

I have also been informed that due to Intel not being able to supply enough i7 chips (special low voltage model), that Lenovo will be halting production of this unit AT LEAST June.

Worth the wait, if you ask me. I couldn't be happier with my x200. Well, I suppose I could be happier if it was a tablet ;-)
