Does anyone know where I can get dead/cheap PSU's to practice sleeving on? While I'm on the topic can anyone offer me help in this area? Thanks.

what I did was make a drawing of the connector from 2 sides and label the color of the wires (it doesn't hurt to mix ground wires but it isn't great. you can put tape on them and label 1 2 3 or whatever) then use a really small screw driver to bend the pins in on the bigger molex connectors, pull the wires out, then do the sleeving thing. I'm sure by tomorrow the member with a PSU sleeving guide will post their how to here. It's really comprehensive.

http://www.normdickinson.com/shop/deadps.html has a dead PSU. I'd have sworn that Newegg had some kind of "display only" stuff featuring dead or really obselete items. Can't seem to find it now.

you might find it easier to get some 4 pin Y splitters or 4 pin molex to floppy convert/adapters and practice on those.

12.99 for a powmax is way too much! They should offer you 12.99 to take the POS.
