I was really close to getting a ALbatron 865, a 2.4C, and some good DDR400, But I think I just might upgrade my existing mobo and proc with another AMD setup and keep my current memory (Kingston DDR333, 512MB). I'm thinking that I'll put a good nForce 2 Rev. 2 mobo in with one of those freak XP1700+s' Ive heard about. But who sells them and how do I know that I'm getting the right one?

Newegg.com Monarchcomputers.com Google.com and nutrend.com Are all good places to work. NewEgg Is a really good place to by from (but make sure you find a Tbred-B) NewEgg will tell you if it is a Tbred-B.

Awww, crap. Too late. Already ordered one from Newegg... I did send them an email asking them to make sure it was the "right" one. So I hope they're cool and hook me up....

The Athlon XP "Thoroughbred B" processors are achieving VERY high overclocks. The 1700+ (1.47GHz) is regularly achieving 2.0Ghz (XP2400+) all the way up to around 2.3-2.4GHz. For the price, you can't beat the performance!

Thoroughbred-B cores are known for its stability and overclockability. SVC has limited quantities of batch JIUHB 0319 AMD XP 1700+ CPUs. Couple them with a Thermalright heatsink and a Vantec Tornado, who knows the possibilities. So what are you waiting for?

Get them while they are in stock!

SVC randomly tested two of these "0319" processors and both were stable at 2.4GHz at 1.79V. See website for details.
