Ok, now I have a different issue. I have some mp3's on my hard drive but they are in like a 192kbps bitrate. What is the easiest way to reduce the bitrate to like 64kbps?
Could it possibly be because he wants more songs in the limited amount of memory his MP3 player has?Originally posted by: iloveme2

Why in gods name would you want to do that? Do you have any idea how bad 64k sounds? 192k is the minimum I will download. Even 128k is pretty bad, but 64k? Might as well record songs off the radio onto a cassette then hook up a mic from your computer and put it up to the speaker of $5 cassette player and record that.

Only idiots download for a buck a song when you can buy the real CD for about the same price and then rip it to mp3 yourself.
And I'm 99.9% certain that allofmp3.com is illegal.

I've never seen anything saying it's illegal, no RIAA press release, newspaper article, nothing. If there is one please point me in that direction.

You can legally buy/download mp3-songs from this site if it does not breaks the law the national legislation of the country in which you will be during that moment.

allofmp3 operates through a loophole in Russian copyright laws. The service is legal for Russian citizens to use, but almost certainly illegal in the US. Going out on a rather strong limb, I'd say that the only reason the RIAA hasn't taken action yet is because the service is still quite new.
I'm not saying that I support the RIAA (hardly!) or disapprove of allofmp3.com (I don't), I'm just concerned that some people have acquired a false sense of security by thinking that the service is legal in America.

Yea, but it is not like the end users are going to get prosecuted.
The RIAA would have a hard time getting a judge to buy that i think.
Besides, the RIAA already went after allofmp3, but the Russian Courts laughed them out of the country. (insert "In Soviet Russia..." joke here)
