Hi all. I've wasted enough time on this and though I'd ask here. I need an external 5.25" case/enclosure. Not USB, IDE, SATA, or FireWire, but JUST the empty enclosure. I need it for an equalizer that fits in a computer case's 5.25" bay, so no connectors are needed and back must be open so I can get a 4 pin Molex & audio cables to it, and of course the front must be open to access the controls. The EQ is the exact same size as an internal optical drive. I basically need something just for looks. This device won't fit in my PC case, all the bays are taken (all 6 of them) so I need some type of enclosure or case to house it, preferably black. Doesn't matter if it's metal or plastic and should be a whole lot less than USB or FireWire enclosures. I've even tried searching for external CDROM drive cases and couldn't find any.

Does anyone know where I can find something like this please?
Thanks.

Get a USB (cheaper) enclosure that matches the color.
Get pliers, a screwdriver and a drill.
Make some noise and mod the stuff. Could end up very easy if you have a clear path after the fan is removed.

Well, I've been looking and apparently that's what I'm going to have to do. I just think it's senseless to pay ~$30 for all of those LED's, electronics, PCB, connectors, etc., I don't need since I only need an empty case, plus it's going to take a good bit of cutting.
