Where can I get a small amount of pure nitromethane?

I need some nitromethane to use as a solvent for removing cured cyanoacrylate adhesive.
It is more potent than acetone on super glue and much much less volatile, so it would stay where I put it.

There is remover formulated with pure nitromethane, but at $3 per 1 oz bottle, it's getting expensive. Anyone know where I can get about a liter of it?
 
hes trying to get an organic solvent to remove superglue apparently. Or maybe its just a hoax to build a BOMB?

Nah he couldn't find any plutonium so he decided to settle for something lesser.
 
so, a little research showsthat another use of nitromethane is as a fuel for drag racing. Also, it was the explosive used at the Oklahoma City bombing 😕. I do wonder if after that incident buying large quantites probably WILL get you attention from the FBI 😛. Which randomly gets me on another funny story about a teacher of mine who was found reading the communist manifesto in high school (during cold war obviously), and the FBI actually DID come to the school because he argued with his history teacher about what it said even thouhg she hadn't even read it of it. Also, randomly I have also read the Communist Manefesto its a good book. I just though I'd say that since the FBI is probably already reading this thread 😛.

If you're not a believer that nitromethane is a good clean up solvent for cyanoacrylate, check this out. Look at the MSDS

I checked where we order lab chemicals (I don't know if Joe Public can order from them), it's $76 for a liter. Chances are you'll have to pay for overnight shipping and possibly a hazmat charge, which is going to be more than $20 I'm sure (I ordered a 100ml bottle of a chemical and they charged me $20 for overnight shipping). I don't know what the shipping charge would be, but $30 wouldn't surprise me.

At that price, you might as well just buy it by the ounce. There's ~34 ounces in a liter, so 3x34 = $102.

You are correct: Ammonium Nitrate mixed with Diesel Fuel, not Nitromethane.

try xylene better and home depot has it.
