Funcoland was bought out by Gamestop in my area. In fact, if you go to funcoland.com it will forward you to gamestop.com, so I think they are in the process of converting all the stores. The store I bought mine had 8 DC systems, and only 2 when I came back the next day (week before Christmas). I garbled the second to last one up instantly. I also noticed the KB Toys in my mall had a couple left, as well as a few games, but they were selling like hotcakes before Christmas due to the sale. I mean, who wouldn't buy a console with a 128-bit cpu and 65million colors at $50 with tons of great, cheap games? The Target in my area had ZERO when I checked, and no games either. The Walmart had nothing. I would aim for the smaller Gamestop stores before I would try the big retailers, I think bigger stores sell out of their stock quicker because of higher customer volume. Oh yah Fry's had a few of these in Houston TX last time I checked, but they are probably gone now too
Oh yeah the Circuit City and CompUSA in my area had games still, but no consoles. Reason they hadn't sold any of their games yet is because they were still charge higher prices, didn't mark a single one down! Wanted $34.99 for games BB had for $14.99. Bah!
