Where can I get a cheap .com?

eakers

Lifer
just like the title says
where in this crazy internet society can a girl like me get a cheap .com?

thanks for your help!

*kat. <-- 🙂

Do a quick search on the web for domain hosting. The cost depends on how you go about it, some places offer more than others.

Or did you just want the registration???

would you settle for a .org or .net?
you can get a free one at some sites.

try dhs.org or myip.org
i think there are other similar services.
you can make eakers.dhs.org or whatever,
they have some other domain options too.

it's not really your own domain but it's free.

eakers, not sure why people aren't answering your question, but the cheapest place to register your own .com is godaddy for $9 a year, excellent service, no strings attached.

<< What do you want to do with it? >>

to post naked pictures of myself.

i think web forwrding might do it.
but i dunno.

*kat. <-- obviously lieing about the naked thing.

Register.com SUCKS for ISP's when we want to transfer your domain to our servers if you decide to go with a different one. It's very hard to get all the switching done.

I think Tucows does some sort of sale to the public with OpenSRS (which is what we use), I could be wrong though.

Yeah, register at one of the $10 fly-by-nighters, then hope they're in business next week.

You'd think with dot-bombs dropping like flies, you people would have learned something by now.

MrBond,

You're full of crap. They have the easiest, fastest system of ANY registrar. I own over fifty domains registered through them, and I'm constantly moving names around.
