Where can I find reliable gigabit hubs?

load balancers we use at work have to be plugged into a hub or it won't work...right now we're using a cheap hub...which makes me go sleepless almost every night 🙁

I didn't know they made 1000 Base-T hubs.

as for switces dells are pretty cheap.

but the real problem is why do the load balancers need to be attached to a hub? There's something very wrong with that. I'd call support for the load balancers and see how they are supposed to be used.

dunno....but the documentation specifically states hub instead of switch.

I'm using foundry server iron, maybe a switch will work?

Garion is the local load balancer expert.

I'd still call foundry. Modern networks simply don't use hubs.

It probably has to do with mac addresses at layer 2. You can get around that with configuration on the switch. I remember using a serverIron on a switch without problem.
