Where can I find out what my local altitude is?

My grandmother has acute hypocondria. She's a chronic whiner and thinks that moping and sulking will give her the attention she craves. Anyway, I don't particularly like her...she's claiming that she isn't feeling well because of the altitude. I know I'm below 1000ft but I'm curious as to just how low I am...I'm about 15-20 minutes from Lake Ontario.

Anyone know a web site that tells altitude?

I won't be divulging this information to her...then she'll only think of another ridiculous reason when she isn't feeling well.

She keeps saying she's light headed and nauseous yet she only had a bowl of Cheerios at 9:30AM and hasn't eaten since then. She keeps saying she isn't hungry. Moron. Yeah...it's the altitude...yeah, that's what it is.

BTW, she's from Miami...1 block from the beach.

Though she did offer to buy me a laptop for college. I'll probably not get the laptop, but rather use the money to upgrade my computer when Prescott comes out. Frankly I don't need a new computer now and, as much as I'd like a laptop, I don't need one.

Hahaha! I would love to.

She came into my room, asked what I was doing on the computer, so I closed down this IE window, and said, "Nothing really." So she started asking me if we're going to go shopping tomorrow to buy a laptop for me. I told her I didn't really need a laptop but over winter break I'd like to build a new computer. So she said, "Okay, how much are they?" I said, "Well, a laptop is about 1500-2000 but I could get a good desktop for 1000." I could have gone for more, she's pretty loaded, but in reality, I don't need a computer worth more than that. I don't play games and I already have a sweet 19" LCD. So...I guess I shouldn't complain...but damn, she's unpleasant.

i am at about 100 foot above sea level,give or take 100,depends how close to the
Hudson river i am,
the Troy dam,north of here is 37 foot above sea Level

She told a story at dinner earlier about when one of my sisters (now 24) was 2.5 years old. She said she was in town visiting and my sister came downstairs in the morning and just sat at the table, "As if to say, 'Here I am. Feed me.'" (Note: She's an immigrant...53 years ago. She still has an accent and doesn't speak entirely fluid English) So she thought, 'Well, I don't know what to feed her. I can at least give her some milk.' Okay folks, this is a lady that had two sons...she didn't know what to feed a child?! Anyway, the story continues. She said, "But I can't give her milk. It's too cold. So I had made myself some of that instant coffee. So I took a drop of coffee and mixed it with the milk to warm it up. And she drank it." WTF?! She gave a 2.5 year old coffee!?

Yeah, that was her story. The 'cute' part and the reason she was telling it was the "As if to say, 'Here I am. Feed me.'" It wasn't cute nor funny. In fact, it further emblazoned my opinion that she is a complete and utter moron.

She didn't raise me. I think if you were going to use that analogy you'd have to say something like, "Here's to hoping your kids never think the same of your dad." Good work anyway though. Very funny. Kudos!
