I think it is so he can stockpile RAM and CDRs. You know, RAM will be 1 million bucks a meg in a little while :Q

Try cutting a hole in your basement floor. Dig deep, and put the bodies in there. Make sure you cover the hole with a large piece of furniture.

Hey, cool thread! I like secret passageways. I've always thought that the classic &quot;pull the book out in the bookcase and it opens the door&quot; thing was really neat!

If the house is being designed right now (or will be in the future) you're set. It's just a matter of building in a fake wall, to hide the crawl space/passageway in back of it.

What RU trying to do,make a &quot;back way out?&quot; RU one of those Militia Men and you're afraid of The Man coming to get you? Technology has rendered nobody invisible. Infrared scanners that see thru walls (and secret passageways) have been around for years.

But, if this is to get away from burglars/inlaws, then I understand completely! Start searching the internet, buddy and good luck to you.!

See both of those groups of people would be better blocked by a moat and drawbridge. That way you could stay inside your house/castle as long as you want. Or you could pull up the drawbridge as your inlaws are crossing, so that they fall in the moat and get eaten by gators 😀

Now that's cool. I always wanted a false wall in which to embed my entertainment system with a walkway behind so I can re-cable and upgrade at will. The folding contraption probably wouldn't work too good with cables, but it's still cool.

I was serious, have you ever been there, there is all kinds of crazy things that could be used as ideas for secret passages. Do a search on it or something.

Hiding computer components
Escaping from inlaws
Escaping from burglars
Hiding your huge porn collection
 
You could put a huge server farm in the hidden room and just plug and play laptops anywhere in the house!

If you are building just put up a false wall in front of something. (I think someone said that already) But be sure to design it carefully..I mean it's obviously a room if the wall expands for no reason in the middle of the living room.....
 
If I ever build a house I would have a secret room...this is something I've always wanted to do for some reason. Just me and no one else would know about it.
 
no no no I'm going to have a castle style tower in my backyard with no visable outside interest. and in the basement, aginst the back wall in a cloest I'm going to have an underground tunnel with some form of tourchs that's going to go the tower.

inside it would have a spiral staircase and when you came out on the top the floor was covered with pillows. with mini touches on the walls. with the venting so the smoke doesn't kill you.

I had drawn the whole thing out.



and the top floor of my house is going to be this HUGE glass dommed roof. the floor is going to have the map of the stars. with a circle couch in the center..

yes I've thought this out.

Yeah but it's not like they'll be living in the dang house! I really like the idea of escaping from inlaws or other unwelcomed vistors 😀
 
I always liked the hidden stairwell hidden behind the grandfather clock on that old show, Webster, with Emmanuel Lewis. I think the attic is a great place to have a secret getaway type room.

Why else do you think I want an underground tunnel to a tower with no visable enterences?
