I'd like to learn how to play the piano. I have some background in music (played keyboard for 7 years, guitar for 5, kanun for the past 1.5 years). I looked on craigslist but didn't know which section to look at. Any ideas?

You played the keyboard for 7 years and now you want to learn the piano? I don't get it.

Isn't keyboard another word for piano playing? Sure, one is digital, the other is not....but they are played exactly the same...

I don't know if NYC has these or not but small business owners like piano teachers usually advertise in the small local community newspaper near the classifieds.

Call a local school and ask for the music teacher. They could recommend someone.

A school of music at a nearby college would likely have plenty of music students that would love to take some dough off your hands in exchange for some lessons.
