yeah I ran into those while I was looking, but it doesnt seem like they get all that much traffic (i.e. the impreza forum only appears to have a handfull of posts/day).

I've gotten spoiled with AT and the gajillions of posts you can get within a few min.

I'll definetly spend more time checking it out, but was hoping there were some forums with major usage/membership.

They do have quite a large member base, but I don't know much about posts per day or the like.

Congrats on your purchase and you'll love the car, I had a MY99 for 2years until I crashed it. The OBS is a bit of a wierd one, it's a good car but not too popular so you'll have to find posts about it inbetween posts about WRXs and regular Outbacks.

NASIOC and iclub are a good place to start (note: look through all the forums, not just the Impreza forums since they post everywhere), there are a couple of people on rs25.com as well. For the most part since it shares a lot of parts with RS and WRX, most of their advice is pretty applicable. There's also a yahoo group, subaruimprezaoutbacksport but it's become even quieter in there.

I dont really have any plans to mod it or anything if that's what you're asking. That might change after I have it and drive it for a while but for the time being it's just transportation; I've been in a rental car for the past week

Long story short: last monday a guy without insurance wasnt paying attention and ran a stopsign and totaled my VW :| I'm okay but the car is history...

I've got an arrangement to buy/pickup the Subaru this Thursday.

Nasioc is the place you want to go. That Impreza specific forum section is low traffic. Just post in the General community or in engine/suspension/wheel specific forums etc. Those get tons of traffic. Also their off-topic is by far the most interesting one I've been to for a car forum :)

No more 9% Oregon Income tax baby!

We need to move out of Multonomah county.

Pricing up in Vancouver is cheap isn't it?

All the boards have been posted already.

Great car. I have a 2004 TS. I had the contract written up for the outback sport, but I wasnt about to pay nearly 2K extra for two tone paint that I dont like, and some aluminum rims.
I havn't had a single problem with my car yet, I have 33K on it and it's coming up on a year old next month.

I will definatly be a repeat subaru buyer.

Ouch multnomah county is a killer; not only is land value/tax really high but you have to pay extra income tax to live there :|

Vancouver is less expensive for housing but if you work in Oregon you still have to pay Oregon income tax. I work up here (just north of Vancouver) so by moving to WA I dont have to pay the income tax.

Bigger/nicer house, shorter commute, and more money in my pocket. I cant wait until the house is finished ;)
