Where can I find a cheap Blood Alcohol Detector? Great party gadget.

Well we all know that I "should" say I'm buying this for when my friends leave they can use it to make sure they are safe to drive but we all "really" know that I want it just cause it's another gadget.
 
Thats pretty cool, and I think I would like to have one myself, so I could pick on all my drunk friends. 😛
 
I have one I got as a gag gift. You can get them at the Sharper Image, but I don't know how much they cost. I haven't had a chance to check mine out yet. From what my friends tell me, they only go up to a certain (pretty low) BAC. If you're just going to test out your friends to see if they're good to drive, it should be OK though.
 
Who in their right mind would subject themselves to a BLOOD alcohol detector at a party?

You must mean breathalyzer right?
 
Doggiedog--a breathalyzer detects BAC, or Blood Alcohol Content from your breath. He is asking about a breathalyzer. 🙂
 
A friend of mine has one of those, it's actually a really good thing to have. I've seen him several times when he's PERFECTLY capable of driving (big guy, high tolerance to alchohol but still above the limit) and he would've gotten into a car but he stuck one of those in his mouth and saw it was too high and didn't feel like getting pulled over.
 
Watch out - they are kind of fun at parties, but don't let drunk people use it and then "compete" to see who can get the highest BAC... this could cause some serious problems with passing/blacking out or having to go to the hospital. Just a caveat.
 
Don't worry bigsmooth. That wasn't my intention and I won't let it be if people are in my house drinking. I'll take that sucker away. LOL I sound like my parents...hehe
