Just as message title states... anyone know?
I want to have all the updates and service pack(s) on cd for offline use..
-Thanks in advance.

about the only way that I can think of is you can search the microsoft knowledge base by the kb number, the number that is show on the update listed on windows update and usually it will link off to a manual download page.

I would have to look up each individual updates and download them separatley with that method, i'm trying to avoid that. Hasn't MS quit supporting ME? shouldn't they have a way you can get all the updates thus far in an easy way.. like a redist pack? or is there a torrent out there..?

I've searched and nothing so far.

I was trying to download updates for a laptop running ME as it did not support wireless LAN and I had no luck. I couldn't even find anything on the microsoft site. It's almost as if ME never existed

If only we were so lucky... Even my Microsoft rep says that ME always stood for "Moron Edition"

Format it, reload it with 98SE and install the unofficial Service Pack that someone put together. (Google it) You'll be ten times happier.

That is the way you have to do it. Sorry..

There has never been a cumulative service pack released for Windows ME.
Therefore, if you need an update, it most likely was released as a seperate update.
End of support for Windows 98 and Windows Me
Effective July 11, 2006, Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, and Windows Me (and their related components) will transition to a non-supported status. After this date, Microsoft will no longer provide any incident support options or security updates. Microsoft is not offering a custom support agreement for these products.

Why would you want to download updates for such a POS OS like Windows ME?? Format that computer and install Windows XP on it. If you don't have XP, get Windows 2K and install it on there.

Don't consider using POS Windows 98/ME for running software produced in the last four years on hardware produced in the last four years!! That would be a huge mistake!!

HEY JACKASS
The OP didn't ask for your opinion on Windows 98/ME.. Have you not figured out that a majority of us forum members get tired of your ranting and psychotic obsession with the Windows 98 operating system.. You obviously have some fvcking mental issues that need sorted out.
You continuously thread crap in EVERY single thread that has the mentioning of Windows 98 or Windows ME.
So what? What if the OP needs the updates for Windows 98/ME since he supports a bunch of systems that have Windows 98 loaded on them? Alot of organizations don't upgrade their operating systems every time Microsoft throws a new product on the retail shelves. Alot of small companies would go broke.

Stop with the thread crapping; we don't give a fvck about your opinion. The OP asked a legitimate question, and then you come in here with your same bullshit

I just want to make sure the OP isn't using Windows ME himself on a relatively modern system for the sole purpose of runnning post 2001 software. It disgusts me when people do that because it only makes it tempting for hardware and software manufacturers to continue and support them POS operating systems which only hurts performance and stability for the relevant Windows 2000 and above based operating systems.

Link19: I've already informed the OP about the support timeline that runs out next month.

Be advised, any updates that have been released will continue to be able to be accessed, as they are archived and still available.
We all know Microsoft will no longer support the Windows 9x line of products.
If Microsoft no longer supports the product, what gives you any indication that other hardware and software products will support a discontinued product?

You can download all the updates directly from Windows Update.

It's amazing how often this is asked and nobody seems to know.

Click on administrative options and it's the very first option.
