I need MS-DOS, like 6.2 or something would work fine......... Basically we have this old machine at work, that collects data from these big ass ISA cards... well it crapped.... and now i gotta find DOS to install on some other old machine I had laying around.... the program that we run, runs off dos.... HELP!

NO!! dos is evil... anyways, when i got a 486dx/33 in 1992, we got dos 5.0 with that.. so i think that 1987 figure is alittle off..

how about going to Bootdisk.com and download one of the utilities to make yourself a bootdisk. Then, to transfer to a hard disk, just boot from the disk and do "Format C: /s" or "SYS c:"

dunno how legal it'd be to d/l... I got an extra copy off of eBay last year for like $12.... brand new, in shrink wrap, with manual and everything.

If you have an MSDN subscription it's available off of their site under MSDN Subscriber downloads, along w/ every other piece of MS software on the planet...
That will make the HDD bootable, but he still won't have DOS installed.

I probably have 6.1 around here someplace on 3.5" diskettes if you can't find it anyplace else.
