Where can I demo an Asus eee in Los Angeles area?

I'm in LA and I can't seem to find a store that has these to demo. There is BestBuy, CircuitCity, Frys, but none seem to have it in store. Does anyone know of a place in SoCal that has these?

Your question wording tells me you would like to perform a demo of the Asus Eee in the L.A. area. Then your question says something else, i.e., you want a store to demo it for you.

Anyway, why not try one of the area weekend shows?

They may have some available at PC Club but I don't think they have live demo units.

Pcclub had a surf in Tacoma but I dont think you really appreciate one until you see it run XP. Ive put 2 gis of ram in mine and its surprisingly zippy.

Its become my couch buddy. 🙂

I went to the microcenter in Tustin and they did not have one. Waste of a 30 minute drive.

Fry's has some smaller UMPC demos, including the Fujitsu U810 and the Samsung Q1? but not the EEE.

I eventually just ordered it at Costco. I figure with their return policy if I really hate it I have that option to take it back within the three months.

try microcenter..... played w/ one yesterday in bay area.

Unless they've moved, which I suppose is possible, given the immense size of San Andrea's fault, the Bay Area and Los Angeles are really not all that close together.

Oh, right, you're talking about a chain... nevermind. Carry on.
