I want this keyboard but can't find it OEM or just by itself. Everyone seems to sell it as a combo and I want to get either the MX700 or the Intellipoint Optical wireless mouse

Here is the combo
Keyboard

thanks

newegg.com, but it's blue and not wireless. If it's wireless you're shooting for, I have no clue.

They market appear to only sell the "Wireless Optical Desktop Pro" as a kit. You mean Microsoft doesn't know best for you?

They appear to only have an FCC license for the bluetooth kit (received in August 2002), not for the products individually. So I doubt you will find them sold individually, and if so I doubt its legal (but not many retail stores follow FCC licenses anyways). They have an older 27MHz wireless keyboard (Bluetooth is 2.4GHz) and mouse combo too, but I don't think that helps you.

Is it just me or is the 2.4GHz spectrum going to get pretty clogged soon?

I can't wait to see people sitting outside of companies and monitoring all their keyboard traffic (The Microsoft keyboards only have an official range of 30ft, but I'm sure you can pick up the signal from farther away with good equipment).

Well can you guys recommend a good wireless ergo. keyboard?

The only ones "I" like by MS or Logitech are sold with mice in a combo and in either case I don't like the mouse in the combo.

No, it's going to have to get way worse than the current situation before anyone does anything about it. Knowing the FCC they will most likely take another band away from amateur radio operators, unfortunately. Amateur radio operators don't have the political clout of large corporations, even though those bands are used to save lives during emergencies/national disasters.
