I need to buy tent pegs in bulk.......about 150-200.

Just got a new fence and need to peg down mesh to stop dogs slipping under.
Looking for the cheap alum/steel ones with the hooked end.

I have found them at sporting goods stores like Dicks and REI but they sell in packs of 6 or 9 and its gonna cost me a fortune.

Anyone know where I could buy them in bulk?
Think Lowes would have them?

Just make your own.

You will need a heavy gauge wire that will:

1) hold its shap as you pound it into the ground.
2) yet flexible enough so that you can hook the top of the wire over the base of the fence.

You will also need a wire to cut the wire (i.e. bolt cutters).

this is probably the cheapest alternative. I use homemade stakes for both my tents, they're less bulky and much stronger then plastic pegs

I agree with the wire suggestion. Wire coat hangers work nicely. I probably wouldn't use them for a tent but for what you're looking to do, they'll work fine. Get the kind that'll rust. The rust helps hold the wire in the ground. They're also useful in the yard when you want to hold a dripper hose in place.
