Where can I buy packets of ketchup/mayo/etc ?

Here's a dumb Q for the minds of ATOT...

Where can I buy packets (not a ton of them, but maybe 20-50 of each?) of ketchup, mayo, mustard etc like they give out at fast food drive throughs?

I don't mind overpaying for them, but haven't seen any when I've been casually looking..?
 
Go through the drive through a few times and ask for a lot of condiment packages.
Seriously, I think you'd have a hard time buying that kind of thing in anything short of massive amounts.
 
Any food distributor is going to insist on selling just boxes of this stuff. Plus, I'm sure each box has 1,000 or so packets and when you ask for just one box, they might look at you kind of funny.

 
I guess I was under the assumption that *somewhere* these things would be packaged in retail form, since they're actually pretty useful if you're going camping or on vacation or something like that. I had just never stopped to look for them before, but now that I'm trying, seems hard to find.

Oh and for those who are wondering, I'm starting back up on my hurricane supplies for next year. 🙂 I had friends who were without power for over two weeks (and we're talking about busy urban areas) and the biggest problem people had was refrigeration etc. I figure things like those fast food packets must have a half life of decades, so why not get a box or two?

I'm sure the ketchup in the bottles, when sealed, have a similar life. Plus, in the event of an emergency, I'm sure the ketchup would hold up without refrigeration for a few days.

Finally, if the emergency was bad enough - e.g. - part of the U.S. got nuked, I don't think I'd worry so much about having hot sauce for my dried burritos. :Q


 
Just go to a fast-food place during the day, ask for the manager, and just ask him what he'd charge you for the quantities you want.

I knew somebody would say that. 🙂 And the truth is, even after this last batch of hurricanes went through FL, you could simply hop in your car and drive 30 mins down the interstate, and voila, everything was A-Ok there.

But it really does suck to be sitting at home and not have anything open near you, and when what you find yourself left to eat is a can of tuna fish and some crackers, a packet or two of mayo sure would be nice. hahah.
