Where can I buy/download Internet 2?

I read that MPAA or RIAA (or both) were trying to insist on being let on the Internet 2 to monitor or something like that. The article seemed skeptical that they would be let on.

I think once came with my Rolling Stone magazine today. Every now and again you'll see litle racks with them in various stores and fast food places.
 
i was reading in the latest pc mag that internet2 is right now only available to research institutions and schools that need the wide bandwidth. i think they were able to transfer some immense data (something on the order of several gigabytes) in just a few seconds. i dont think this tech will reach consumers anytime soon. it would just make the network really slow. iirc the internet back in the day was faster when there were relatively few users on it.
