Hi all,

Anybody have any ideas on where can I buy about 100 small hard drives? At least 4GB, IDE, used ok, various brand/size/speed ok. This is for a non-profit international project.

Thank you for any suggestions.

For what it's worth, businesses might be skeptical of giving away their hard drives, unless their IT department confirm that they've properly wiped the drive, not just emptied the file access tables.

ebay sounds good though, and maybe go to PC shops, that kind of thing, they might have old stock, maybe people have part exchanged some old POS, and they don't want the hard disk(s).

We degauss all our harddrives before they go out the door, do you need them to be functional?

Numerous PC recyclers post bulk items or single items online. Unfortuantely they tend to charge more than the item is really worth.... becasue they know YOU want them.

YOyoYOhowsDAjello,

Those deals are great! Thank you!

ND40oz,

Yep, we need them to be functional, and most computer donations that we get come without hard drives since companies just destroy them for obvious reasons.

SHADMW,

Thanks for the link!
