Where can I buy a really good shower head?

I've heard that in most new subdivisions they're bottlenecking the amount of water that you can get out of the shower heads. I was wondering if there's any way around it, or any way to check if that is in fact the case?

I'm also looking for a good shower head, you can't find any of the ones with a high output in the local stores 😛 I used to have some great ones in my old house but they've gotten old. Price isn't really an issue, within reason.

Any help is greatly appreciated 🙂 Also, the store in question needs to be able to ship to Canada 😀

Through a certain connection, I've been able to locate some black market shower heads all made in the former Yugoslavia. And from what I hear, the Serbs are fanatic about their showers.

You want in?

for a quick fix before you buy a new shower head, take your current head apart and remove the restrictor ring. it doesn't take long and it doesn't hurt anything but sometimes the water comes out a little crooked.

It's one of two things, you have low flow shower heads or low preassure. You can check the pressure usually with a garden hose.

How hard is it to get increased water pressure? When I first tried to read about increasing the pressure, I got lost and figured it was something I didn't want to try. I'd be interested in hearing from someone that's done it before.

All the shower heads in the US are restricted to conserve water usage, you need to get one from outside of USA. this reminded me to buy one from hong kong next week. thanks! 😛

yup see the post above

Like Amish said, check to see if you can just mod the one you have. Remove the head from the pipe and look into it from the back. You may find that there is a plastic disc inside with a few holes in it. Remove the gasket and remove the plastic disc. Reinstall gasket and put the head back on the pipe. It might be just that easy. I had a house with showerheads that had that "water-saving feature" and it was a quick fix.

If it doesn't have the plastic disc, there may be some other method they're using to restrict the amount of water passing through. Give it a look before you spend any money.

Maybe I can mod the one in my bathroom, which only works on one mode. On the other setting, water just drips out. It's depressing.

I need a Commando 450.
