Where can I buy a good suit jacket without spending too much

So I went to K & G tonight, hoping to buy a gray or dark gray suit jacket, seeing as how my old one just doesn't fit anymore. Well the only one around here doesn't HAVE gray suit jackets. They have a wall full of black ones, with a few navy blue ones, and then cream ones. It's nice and all that there's 400 dollar suit jackets for 99.00 but they're not even remotely in the right color.

So I tried looking at full suits, saw a few 500 dollar ones for around 100. The problem is every single one in my size (about 43 reg) comes with pants that literally come up to my shoulders, I'm talking about 18-24" too long. Plus the waist size is about 38 on all of them, and I need at MOST a 32". So basically if I buy a full suit for about 100, I end up paying an extra 30-40 for alterations. Besides all I REALLY want is a decent gray suit jacket for under 100 bucks. So where could I go?

The pants are too long because they are supposed to be fitted to you by a tailor. At a reputable store this is done in a day or two.

Go to the Men's Warehouse. You get what you pay for in product and service. And you will look great too.

If your looking sub $100 suit look for a JCPenny or Mervyns or Kohls in your area....everythings already cut, already done, and frankly doesn't look too much different from suits costing MUCH more. After one cleaning they usually arent as comfortable but you get what you pay for 😉

Mr. Zimmerman, you forgot "I guarantee it!".

Hmm, something seems off...43 jacket and 32 pants is an 11 inch drop, almost unheard of. Most suits have a 5-8 inch drop (e.g. 40 jacket, 34 pants). I'd get fitted to make sure that really is your size. If so, around that price you're pretty much limited to the bargain stores, like K&G, MW, Burlington Coat, etc.

yah, I'm in really good shape, and I've always been narrow at the waist. I'm wearing 32" waist jeans right now and they're falling off me. and the 43 jacket is about right, I COULD get into a 42 if it looked nice enough.
