Where can I buy a coffeelake 6 core?

I'm anxious to get started on my new build, but I can't find a coffeelake 6 core in stock anywhere. Anybody know where I can get one? Thanks.

Moments later, it changed to unavailable.

The 8400 is out for delivery today.

Why do you need to push Ryzen in what is clearly a thread about where to get a Coffee Lake CPU?

I want to play with a Kaby Lake 6 core CPU, and no other one is available.
I also want to experiment with locked CL chips on an overclocking board and I need
one with a turbo multiplier.

And no, lower end Ryzen does not seem better to me.

It's also the most desirable Intel product release in almost a decade. There is pent up demand for a chip like this. That these were going to be in short supply was an easy prediction.

Though it does seem silly to watch sites hoping for it to pop into stock, to order one.

When you come into such a thread, and say the competition seems better, what do you expect?
The 8400 will run all it's cores at 3.8 under load, which doesn't seem too bad for the price.

The pure numbers at retailers is next to none. 130 pcx sold for 8700k and 12 pcx 8700 for one of the biggest rerailer in germany. 3000 newegg. Now out of stock. Give me a break about demand. Yes there is a huge demand and its damn fine processors. But thats not why there is no processors and we both know why. This is a paperlaunch as clear as it can be. There is NO processors. NONE. And it wasnt demand. End rant but this excuse crap is tiredsome.

I wouldn't call this a paper launch since the CPUs were available on day one and still are, but the vendors are selling them as fast as they get them in.

Personally if was planning on doing a Coffee Lake build, I would wait until Jan or Feb to do the building as the Firmware updates will be out and the motherboard manufacturers have time to work out any issues.

OP, you have to check retailers often as they get shipments. Use trackers like nowinstock.net, but also just keep checking Newegg and Amazon manually.

Again. That makes no sense. Why waste your time checking stock. Just order one and wait for it to come in or order one at both Newegg and Amazon, and cancel the other when the first ships (check policies first).

Any stock they get is going to fullfill orders first before it goes up on the web pages for general consumption.

You realize you can make a extreme limited run with very bad yield. Launch and then work on it the next 3 month to get better with next rev and firing up the lines needed for your capacity.
From a economic perspective it certainly isnt selling in numbers that you can even see on the last digit in a corp the size if Intel. Its marketing.
Look how the 7700k is selling. Look at the numbers. Now look at 8700k. The 8700k is not meant to be a Vega. Its bread and butter and will have the numbers to match when Intel fire up the huge locomotive. Wait and see.

Was it more pent up two years ago with Skylake or now? Intel seems to have release problems with so much pent up demand.
