Make sure to get the optional Krypton Lamp for the Maglite. The standard bulb will break the first time you hit a perp... I mean attacking animal in the skull.

The maglite site has These CandlePower Ratings..

4D = 15,000.
5D = 18,000.
6D = 20,000.

Mrsskoorb had a fit when she saw the 6d in the store so we ended up getting the pathetic 4D which i'm still upset over. Still a nice light, but I really wanted the 6D. The thing is like a metal quarterstaff. Very long! Anyway this was $18. We got it from Academy sports and outdoors. They had a whack of lights and lots of the 6D for $22.99!!

Man.. I used to know the owner of the Maglite.. well actually he sponsored a kid from Bosnia in 1990 and I met him through Red Cross. I used to go to one of his houses and hang out. Then my friend got me the enitre set of flashlights.. from key chain to the 6d most of them rechargable and all laser engraved with my name. He was going to ship it out from the factory but then some dummy ship the package along with other orders to other places and then because of some family issues (the family issue was actually on dateline documentary before) so it was a bad time to ask for another set and my friend moved to Florida have not seen him for like 7 years now
