Where can I apply for a credit card online and be able to use the card right away?

I have fairly good credit however after getting divorced I have no active credit cards. Now I actually need a card number to make reservations for the weekend. If I apply for a CC online and get approved, what places will give me the number and let me use it right away? Thanks.

Most places will provide you with the 16 digit account number, but you may have some trouble getting the expiration and 3-diggy security code.

Wouldn't that just fail if I try to make a reservation on it unless I got like a $300 prepaid card?

True and to take it one step further 4417 is actually an MBNA owned prefix for gold visa. I assume BAC owns it now but I don't know if they are still issuing cards using 4417.

Go to CVS pharmacy and get a load and go credit card. You can get it right away, no credit check, put some money on the card, use it like a regular credit card without the worries of getting a credit line.

Sorry to say, but if you dont have $300 to your name to put on a prepaid, maybey you shouldnt be looking at getting a credit card you cant afford to pay back?
Just my observation because its not like the $300 is going to go to some credit card company, its your money, just in a different place.
