Where can a hot stud by Paradigm speakers in the US?

Is there anyplace that sells them online?

I know the dealer here locally that sells them and they are very high on their prices. Pretty much retail.

<< So who is the guy buying these Skoorb? >>

I am!

yes I meant BUY as in purchase.

Thanks; is there anywhere online that sells paradigms? I suppose shipping on a sub would be bad but I wanna check on prices in US bucks.

Paradigm doesn't allow any dealers to sell online or even ship to you. The only exception is if you do not have a dealer close to you, then another dealer would probably ship for you.

There's a few PDR-10's on ebay though and I know that's the sub you're looking for.

Are you looking to buy a Paradigm subwoofer? I did plenty of research myself and believe me, Paradigm subwoofers won't give you the best bang for your buck. If you can afford it, buy an SVS subwoofer. Their subwoofers have absolutely, positively the best price/performance ratio you will ever get, unless you build one yourself. If you want, go to Avsforum.com and see for yourself.

What if someone doesn't want to spend $550 US (that's their cheapest powered model) on a sub?
What if someone doesn't want something that MASSIVE?
What if someone lives in an apartment with bad neighbors?

Don't get me wrong, SVS subs are great and I even plan on getting one, but saying paradigms aren't good for their price? WHat are you smoking? Paradigm's low end subs are HUGE bang for the buck. they are tight and very musical (with the exception of PS1000) and can slam hard in a smaller room for home theater use. The only one in Paradigm's line that compares to an SVS is the Servo15 and possibly the PW2200 to the 25-31 model. In that case, SVS is the right choice since it offers more bang for the buck compared to a servo15, but for LOW END subs? come on man 🙂

kami - Paradigm aren't as cheap in the US. This is one awesome thing that we get way cheaper than the Americans! If a component is selling for $500US it usually almost costs around $500cdn for it. For us Canucks there is no bigger bang for any buck 😉

See if you can pay one of the Canadians to buy you a set in Canada and ship them to you. Even with shipping, it'd probably be much cheaper.

Kami, Titanic sub kit @ $350 for those who want to beat most of the Paradigm or Velodyne 12's.
275watts RMS is nice to have on your side 😀

yeah the adire's are nice subs if it's not over your price limit.

viperoni, have you ever heard an SVS in person?

Indeed!

Nope, but taking a quick glance at their 12's, they look very similar to the BluePrint 1201's...which (if their site was up) sell for ~$80 🙂

<< Anywhere online that sells them or any major stores...? >>

Why don't you just have one of us Canucks buy it for you and ship it down there? We know you're good for the money. Riiiiiiight?

OOPS! I didn't even see it up there. 😱🙂

Does anyone know where I can find prices for Paradigm online? Specifically the Monitor 7. I just called an authorized dealer and he said no prices over the phone and I don't want to leave the house 😛.

thereds...usually about $100 more.

i.e. it would be $900 US dollars in the USA or $1000 Canadian dollars up in Canada ($650-$750 US)

I made no sense with what I posted, so I edited.

However I do like paradigm, I own a PDR-8 and I find it to be pretty damned good.
