Where are Windows Updates downloaded?

I'm looking to update a bunch of machines and SUS is not an option at this time. All the machines are Windows XP, so the updates are going to be the same across the board. I don't have the bandwidth to have all the machines running at once at this point either. I have, in the past, downloaded onto one machine and pulled the executables off to use on other machines.

I don't recall where the files download, so if anyone can help me out that woulld be greatly appreciated.

Autopatcher may be a better soltuion. It applies all of the windows patches to any machine.:

I like to be cautious, especially when dealing with software that installs system files. Can you point me to any third party reviews of autopatcher? That's a great idea for a piece of software, but I'd like to tread lightly.
