Where are the peanuts, Cracker Jack? Where?

My wife bought this big bag of Cracker Jack. On the bag it says "Caramel Corn and Peanuts." Of course, everyone knows there are peanuts in Cracker Jack. But in case you didn't, there are also little pictures of peanuts on the bag. So there should be plenty of tasty peanuts inside, right?

I haven't found a single, solitary peanut. Something must be done.

Maybe they all settled at the bottom? The only solution is to eat the entire bag and see if there are any at the bottom. I volunteer if you need help....

Crackerjacks are little boxes of fail. I'd love to have a box from the 40s to see what they're supposed to be like.

peanuts always all the way on the bottom. when you finish the popcorn you'll have a giant fistful of peanuts you can just shove into your mouth.

That could actually be a benefit, leaving all those peanuts for later consumption., however initial investigation toward the bottom of the bag is not promising.

Although I do thank the cracker jack folks for redoing their packaging. All their new packaging, even the boxes, are now foil wrapped and air tight. It used to be you would get some really stale boxes every now and then. Now the product is always nice and crunchy.:p

Last box I bought (90's) was full of those damned things. They had a good peanut - caramel corn ratio.

I extracted two handfuls of corn from the bottom of the bag, which had the added benefit of disgusting my daughter and ensuring that she won't touch my goddamn Cracker Jack (w00t). However, no peanuts. Not a single nut was given.

PLEASE, keep us updated. The fate of my continuing sanity is dependent on the outcome of this "missing peanuts" conspiracy. :'(

I buy the small bags in bulk at Sams Club.
They usually have a good amount of peanuts in them, but they usually are near the bottom.
The "prizes" are thrown away immediately though, which consist of a sticker of a CJ character. Lame.

'Tis an example of foodstuffs one may as well make oneself whilst retaining options for the constituent ingredients. It's certainly simple to pop corn and add caramel and peanuts. Also, better and cheaper.
