Where are good places to visit in Moscow

I'm going to Europe for work, an annual or biannual event in my job. I've never been to Russia so I plan on spending some time there. Any of you that have been to Moscow, is there anything I cannot miss?

I intend to visit Red Square, possibly see Lenin's body (he's getting a bath right now from what I've heard), check out the architecture (Tetris images can't do it justice), and try to find something related to the Cossack heritage my grandmother told me I have. Would like to know or see something regarding that.

I have one friend from my alma mater that lives in Moscow but they will be very busy presenting research at that time.

Anything I should check out? I'm single, so where's the ladies at in the motherland?

Don't worry about the women.

In Mother Russia, women find you!

But do check out some historic stuff. That's always fun.

i would check out the airport, then hop on a place, preferably as soon after you leave as possible.

yeah, why even bother leaving your mom's basement?

If I were going to Moscow, I would want to check out the Great Patriotic War Museum, and the other military museums. Although you might not meet many chicks there. There are also plenty of other museums in Moscow.

i would not to go to Russia in million years(not safe in my opinion).

Safer than Washington DC.
Wonder what would happen if you stood in the middle of Washington, D.C. and chanted USSR,USSR....

lots of cool architecture and museums, drink some vodka, eat some caviar, drive a lada, smoke some belomorkanal.

oh and you have to buy a bunch of pinko memorabilia.

A little update, I went there, survived and came back. I learned a lot about the place for sure..
went to Red Square, checked out the Kremlin, saw Lenin.. rode the old metro line that goes around the city. Got my obligatory CCCP shirt. Did a lot of night clubbing. Heard some good songs I never heard before, you might enjoy this video and it's (completely) realistic of Russian women. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJn98NnneGY If Russia has anything, it's the most beautiful women in the world, if not they definitely compete with anywhere else.

To ease fears, it is safe there, if you know how to handle yourself in countries outside the US/EU. The same precautions apply if you've traveled to areas outside of those.
I wouldn't recommend the trip for the "average" American that hasn't done a lot of traveling or doesn't have a strong awareness of their surroundings.
I'd go back, but probably won't anytime soon, I have a long list of other places I want to go.

why not make you own video?

Anyway no matter where in the world you are women are women. That said guys that can't score in the US rarely do so outside it yet they will claim to be playa's when traveling.

IMHO all it takes is being able to talk to a chick...see one you like, approach her and say hi...you will know what to do next. Hint: don't ask WHY!?!?!?! if she says nothing or leave me alone. 😉

I have many videos of Russia. I linked that one because it's some of the music I heard while hitting up their nightlife, thought someone here might enjoy it.

The idea that women are women no matter where you go is simply a lie, my friend. Go to Russia, or Scandinavia and report back. I've lived in Europe for different business trips for months and done a lot of traveling, there's distinct differences. French women (and most European women) are much thinner on average than American, Russian women seem to be the sexiest and really appreciate a man who treats them well.. we aren't that homogenized yet. It's like saying a Japanese man is like an American man, large cultural and physical differences due to generally a different diet.
I agree on the talking to women, it's always worked well for me, there is no magic formula. Just takes a little nerve and ability to carry a conversation, beyond that it's all statistics 😛
