Hi All
I have abit BH6 and I want to upgrade my CPU.
I currently have a P2-333 o/c to 400 and its getting to be slow 🙂

So I want to do is upgrade to something like a 700 Mhz and o/c clock it?
But I understand I will need PC133 ram?

Currently I have 128Mb of Mushkin Cas2-GH Ram? So where can I get a combo for
a CPU, Memory, and slot convertor?

that mushkind ram can probably shell out 133 mhz bus, not sure if you will have to tone down to cas3 though. Go to googlegear.com. Pretty good place, but shippin is a bitch for more than 2 or 3 things

I think you are a perfect candidate for a P3 700 from the cB0 stepping, the stepping that overclocks best and is compatible with your motherboard (you didn't say which version of the BH6 you have). You may be able to overclock that to 900 MHz or more, if you are lucky. Don't buy any RAM unless you are not happy with the 700's overclocking performance. See this info on the variety of P3's.

Make sure you use a Socket370 and Converter, not a Slot1.
That way you can upgrade your motherboard without changing CPUs.
(when the DDR chipsets comeout maybe?)

That's about it. Also don't forget to get a good FC-PGA HSF to cool that mother 🙂
And also, flash your motherboard BIOS to the latest SS version if you haven't already done so.
