Where and how should I cut? (or should I)?

I got thiscase a while back when it was on sale for $30 or so. The problem is that I assumed that since they offer an extra fan shipped free with a case, that there is a place for it. No such luck. Right now I've got a Duron 600 on a A7V with an ATI all-in-wonder AGP vid card and SB live value. I've got one of the silver Thermalakes on the CPU and a slot fan in the back. Average system temp at idle is around 100F. It's ok for now, but i intend to upgrade sooner or later, and things ain't going to get any cooler.

Needles to say, I advice others against buying this case, but I'm going to try and make it work if I can.

Because of all the plastic garbage in the front, I can't put a fan there. I've got the slot fan over the AMR slot. Would a drive bay fan be worth a damn? Seems sorta usless with the silly drive-bay cover. There is some venting in the back, and I suppose i could try and wire one to the back. Or, I could leave it be.

Any thoughts?

This is the crap case that I got!!! The dual tone mid tower.. don't feel bad.. I'm just scanning the mod that I did to it.. it only had one case fan too.. out the back. I also have a slot fan in it... and the power supply exhausts too.. So all you got to do.. is get a couple of fans.. and mount them in the side.. so that they blow right onto your cpu and video card.. that's how I'm gonna have it set up.. I'm just at school and the digi cam is gone.. so i am scanning the pic.. I just finished it and i had to show someone.. so you're gonna see it.. I'll just post a next reply to show you.. I just have to throw it up.

Okay.. got it up here . I cut the holes here at school at the metal shop. I suggest doing it this way over the dremel.. cause the dremel won't cut as exact a hole. All of the fan installation 'how to's' I have seen recommend the dremel. I recomend a hole cutter. It's just a big, round drill bit basically, only it's hollow in the middle, so it cuts holes. It's really exact and easy to use. Check out other ppl's case mods at virtual hideout.
PS velvtelvis, you got pretty similar hardware as me.. nice one. That case you got it totally moddable.. I think that the crap cases are waaay cooler than getting a case that everyone gets.. it's not evil to be original.. it's more of a challenge to make a crappy case nice, than to make a nice case nice... or something.. I hope that helped at all... I had to show SOMEONE!.. ;)
