it's true availability is a little tight. Luckily I jumped on my Asus when I saw it finally not back ordered. Got here today, volt moded and i'm one happy camper! ;)

btw> stock cooling is decent (noise and heat suppression wise)...but a moded AC5 works even better!

This is a 7800GTX for $299. Nothing but a first round knockout no contest for Nvidia.
Resellers can pull more money out of them and NV will STILL outsell the X1900. If that wasnt true you wouldnt see an easy to manufacture card like these being sold out at these prices.

$299 is too good of a deal to be true, NV is going straight for the jugular of ATI. ATIs cards are more expensive to produce and this is bringing down the pain.

*yawn* Let's see... The X1800XT is faster, cheaper, more available and has better image quality than the 7900GT. Yup! Straight for the jugular all right!

I'd really love to go back to ATi, but SLI has consumed me. If I could go crossfire on my Abit AN8... then color me red. For now, I've got my BFG 7900GT on the way.
