Yeah, I shave in the shower too. I tried shaving outside the shower for a month or two. It irritated the hell out of my face, made it feel like it was burning. I got fed up and went back to the shower routine, been doing it since. My face doesn't get irritated that way and the shave feels a lot better than with shaving cream IMO.

I shave IN the shower. It's the only way to go...shaving is effortless in the shower.

i am surprised no one mentioned NOT to go against the grain of the hair. like for instance, if i go from chin down to neck, i get irritation. if i go from neck up to chin, it is with the grain and doesn't hurt or burn. and i use the Mach3. but, i also only shave once a week. no woman to complain here...hmmm (maybe that is my problem...should i shave everyday?) nah, too much work...:D

Hmm? If I go neck to chin, I scream the entire stroke. Is neck to chin with the grain? I shave from lip to chin, chin to neck, but it leaves stubble, so I then go from neck to chin.

Also, I shave at night, always. There are times when I'm too lazy so I shave in the morning, but I'm not happy about it. I always hated the way I felt with a freshly shaven face.

hhhmmmmm i suppose everyone has different grain. i dunno. that is what i found to work. although i have a goatee so i don't use the lip to chin or anything.

morning, soak your face with warm water for a few minutes, leave some shaving lotion on your face for a minute, proceed to shave

When's the best time to shave?

IN the shower is the best time. Use a GOOD razor (not that plastic garbage) with GOOD shaving cream/gel (Edge with Aloe works great for me). Haven't cut myself or had razor burn in over five years.

When's the best time to shave?

As they say, if you love your boss, you shave in the morning, but if you love your wife, you shave in the evening :)

Some people - my father included, but thankfully not me - are simply irritated by the fact of shaving. They will get irritated skin if they shave. Period. The only way to not be irritated is...don't shave.

the best time to shave is right before sex!

but to help you with your skin problem... try nutrigena's facial wash and scrubs for men. they are pretty good and don't smell all girly.

Shaving in the shower is the best way to go - the stick on suction cup mirrors work fine. Here's what you do.

splash water on the mirror
get some soapy water on your hand, and rub it over the mirror
splash just enough water on the mirror to rinse the soap off

That'll keep the mirror fog free long enough to shave. Then just rinse it one last time with clean water. Mirror will last for at least 5-6 months, you might want to replace it or scrub it well after that.
