When you're using a laptop...

Out of curiosity.

Whenever possible, I'll use a little mouse. Otherwise, touchpad.

EDIT: Assuming mouse isn't available and your laptop has both trackpoint and touchpad.

I'd prefer a mouse, but I'll use the touchpad if that isn't available. This laptop doesn't even have a trackpoint.

I mix it up, actually. If I have have to do long drag n' drops, then it has to be the trackpoint. For orindary surfing its the touchpad.

I would give anything for my laptop to have trackpoint like my old thinkpad had. I prefer it many times over to the regular touchpad. I find it to be far easier to use for precise movements and generally less hassle to deal with.

I actually like the precision of a trackpoint but my experience with them is that they don't last very long. Seems like most laptops with them develop tracking glitches after a year or so of use. My father had 2 laptops with trackpoints on them and both were useless after about a year and a half. If ever possible I'd use a mouse.

Depends. For quick mouse movements while im doing a lit of typing i use the clit mouse, if im doing more extensive mouse work ill use the pad

A large Logitech cordless mouse for my large man hand. Those touchpads, touchnipples and small mice are just impossible for me to properly deal with.

I also use a large right thumb controlled Logitech trackball on my main system.
