Yeah, it is. I mean, it filed for bankruptcy. But I was thinking that maybe some haven't shut their doors yet - i.e. they're still getting rid of inventory.

Meet near house or other convenient option. I'd feel weird giving my address to someone I hadn't met before.

near your house, never your house. i don't trust complete strangers going to my house for one shot deals. and if anything, i would use something like grandcentral also for a phone number just in case.

In my experience eBay prices are around 10% above value so you should price accordingly. I remember when I was an editor at a video game review site I would get copies of games and then resell them on eBay for above retail, even after the release date.. even worse when you calculate shipping. I never understood it.

I usually will not have anyone come to my home unless it's a high end item (my Definitive Technology setup) or huge (my olympic weight set)...I sold a pair of roller blades for a $100 or so 5-6 years ago from ebay locally and met at a bank parking lot (cameras).

There have been some things on even ebay that have been disasters. I sold a leather pager cover back in 1990 to some retarded dude that would call me everyday to let me know how he enjoyed it.

LOL!

they come to my house. UNLESS they are far away from me, then I will agree to meet them usually a few minutes from my house closer to them in a shopping center etc.

Whenever I sell something i usually shot them in the living room unless its something PC related that has to be tested first. i generally dont like strangers seeing what I have in my room etc or any part of the house. that's just me.

no!!! Never give your cell out!! They could be a serial analogist and you wouldn`t like that very much!!

I meet them somewhere for the most part, and I sell it for cheaper because Craigslist is about getting rid of stuff quickly and with no hassle, not about making money.

I was selling my car through CL and met what turned out to be two guys in a grocery parking lot. They asked if they could take it for a test drive. I handed them a keys and told them to please be back within 20 minutes. They left their beater behind and drove off.

They were back in 15 minutes.

I was a little bummed because I could get more from insurance if they stole it than I could ever get selling it. I would have walked home and called the cops an hour later to give them a good head start. ;)
