When your legislation fails, take your anger out on Fox News.

So let me get this straight they would prefer that Fox News throw a big party about defeating the evil rights stealing Democrats than talk about Liberal Media Bias? :D

So Fox intentionally ignores the day's largest story because it doesn't mesh with their preconceived rhetoric and somehow it's a liberal problem that conservatives rely so much on a news source that chooses to leave their viewers intentionally ignorant?

The NYT seems to have ignored how one person has already had their weapons wrongfully seized by reason of a law which has nothing to do with guns. What page was that on?

So you are saying that Fox's preconceived rhetoric isn't about defeating Democrats and the President as well as defeating legislation that abridges the 2nd Amendment?

A vote in the Senate is 50, not 60. Wanting a vote is asking for a clear majority not a cloture vote by another name.

Fox News doesn't report the news they report a slant that agrees with an extreme right wing viewpoint and reporting on a dissenting view would be about as likely as seeing North Korea do it. And in what way does enhanced background checks abridge the 2nd Amendment? (I'll save you the time, it doesn't)

Lol @ the insecure party of twats. They can't bear hearing a viewpoint that legitimately differs from theirs, so they have to pull moves like this.

Twisting the truth fully and daily, aka Fox News channel.

not directly but it certiantly opens the doors for it. Once this is in place they simply modify the definition of "mental disorder" to fit a WIDE range of things. If you have EVER in your life taken anti-depressants or anti-anxiety, you're now no longer allowed to have a gun. If you have cronic headaches or if you ever had a concussion you're now disqualified. Look, it's legal! It's very sneaky.

If you had temper tantrums as a 5 year old, you're now not allowed to defend yourself against armed criminals.....

The children deserve a vote! The children deserve a vote! I demand the senate vote on my gun control proposals right now!

Vote occurs, bill denied, Obama successfully defeated and stopped.

Waaaaa! It's not fair! I'm loving the president's and other liberals utter breakdown that's occuring.

Please, oh please use this in the 2014 mid terms! Please oh please run on a platform of gun control. I beg you obama, you must do this.

What did Obama say during his speech that was unexpected and informative?

Nothing.

Progressives want heavily gun control. Conservatives do not. The bill did not pass. Obama and other Democrats were not happy, everyone knows this.

What were the viewers being denied? Every one of the viewers knows if they want to watch Obama give a speech they can turn to another news network. If the viewers don't want to watch Obama, they can continue watching Fox News, or watch any of the 500 channels on cable/satellite, or they can not watch tv at all.

Obama didn't bring new information into the discussion during his speech.

I honestly couldn't tell you. I've never once watched or read anything from MSNBC. Unlike a good portion of the right I don't need to be told how I'm supposed to think.

You present your argument as if you believe everyone who calls themselves a conservative is watching Fox News and listening to El Rushbo all day every day. And it just ain't true.

The O'Reilly Factor is Fox's typically most-watched show each day, and it peaks at about 3 million viewers in the ratings, or a mere 1% of the nation's population.

The Senate always requires 60 votes, unless it's reconciliation. That is how the Senate works. You're frustrated now because you believe this bill should pass. But it did not have enough votes. Would be the same situation if it were defeated 45 yes votes to 55 no votes.

Think about it. Would this bill have ever passed the House of Representatives with a straight yes/no vote? No. It got defeated in the Senate. Even if passed it would never have made it to the President to sign into law. So what are we arguing?

You want this bill passed while someone else does not want this bill passed. Argue that, not about the fine details of the voting process.

I noticed this a lot with him. He routinely stereotypes all Conseravtives yet gets angry when the same logic is applied to Muslims.

A sizable chunk of the viewers of Bill O'Reilly are DEMOCRATS but he is too stupid to know that since it doesn't fit his bias and stereotypes.

And the liberals continue whining like babies strapped in booster seats. It's like when the Republicans lost the last election, only more whining and less shock.

The people won,
liberals democrats lost,
they need to deal with it.
