Where do you get your data from though? Do you know a lot of people who were home school'd?

My own observations and adventures in non fiction literature.

I know a few people and have met quite a few more, most all of them were quite "odd" and or "social misfits." And many came from very conservative backgrounds.

I can back you up here in a way.

I married one home-schooled chick, my brother another. I had a dating one that tried to get a gang after me. They are all really messed up in my opinion, school at the 'grade' level is really about socialization, and they don't get it. Add in christian schools and it gets really messed up in what the parents want, but the kid is doing.

When I was younger, as soon as a chick mentioned they went to some christian high school (while we were in a club), I knew it was me in HEAVEN! 🙂

WTF?

get out much in the baptist states of the south?

You talk as if there is something wrong with being conservative. Do you dislike conservatives?

Since I'm the uber-Libertarian, I deeply despise social conservatives.

Really? Why so? I can understand why you would dislike certain individuals that are radical. But clearly you would recognize that every group has their radicals. However, I wonder why you hate conservatives so much? I consider myself to be on the conservative side. Although I'd say Im agnostic, thats not to say I don't keep an open mind about religion. For some reason you hate me though? Why is that? What did I ever do to you, aside from possibly disagreeing with you on certain points?

Still waiting for a reply JLG.

Ok, I'm back now, I was taking a shower.

I dislike anyone who attempts to take rights away from another person. That is all.

And I just do not like or understand uptight people.

What's so unusual or hard to believe about that?

did anyone ask you to join the PEN15 club?

I did the first time.

No, but then again, I'm not 17. 😀

BTW, what's the capital of Thailand? *readies fist*

One of my friends tried pulling that one...the only problem is he used China instead of Thailand. He isn't the brightest guy in the world.

So what rights do conservative people try to take away? And does that mean that liberals never try to take away any rights?

Also, I would think that being uptight and being conservative are two different things. There are liberals that can be uptight about things as well.

I'm just looking for a reason as to why you hate conservatives in general, rather than individuals that possess the qualities you dislike.

For instance, I consider myself conservative. Im in favor of the death penalty, pro stopping illegal immigration, con the patriotic act. Im also against taking away smokers rights (to a certain degree). I was raised in a Christian background, but like I said I consider myself agnostic. (Open minded but unsure, I suppose).

Now you may disagree or agree with me on any of those issues, but is that really a valid reason to hate me?

Where I grew up (S.F. Bay Area), the public schools were grammar school (K-6), Junior High School (7-8) and High School (9-12). Some people referred to Jr. High as Middle School. According to at least one of the definitions here (PEN15) the PEN15 club was at the end of Grammar School or the beginning of Jr. High.

Anyone ever hear of the "eye-dee-ten-tee" computer error? (Say it out loud, then write it out in letters and numbers, ID...)
