well lets just say that your parents got you a nice car when you turned 16 and you either have the 4X4 because its the family "junked" car or you went out and bought it.

PSA: I hope you crash and die in one of the two cars you have and maybe you can take out one of your siblings as well.
Jealous much?

You know, just because he's lucky doesn't mean you have the right to be a jackass about it. It's just amazing how some people can't stand seeing others have any kind of good fortune at all.

Man you totally nailed me.....I am sorry OP.I was just jealous of your success and hardwork.

wow that was unnecessary.

I had a crappy '79 6-cyl firebird that my dad painted in the backyard, and it burned as much oil as gas.

When I was in HS all I had were these.

At the time I was jealous of the kids whose parents bought their cars. But looking back I've decided that walking or biking everywhere was good for me.

I bought my own cars, im thankful for the money that came to me. As for others who have a couple of cars, its no big deal, its nice to ride with them while they beat the hell outta their cars that they didnt care about.

I didn't drive a car at all.
What do HS students need cars for? Commuting can be done via means of public transportation.

No, I rode the bus for the first two and half years then drove '00 Nissan Maxima in the second half of junior and my whole final year.

Driving Maxima is like a charm but now I drive a '04 Nissan Xterra. :(

I have a co-worker (part timer) who is still in college and owns 4 cars - Corvette, Viper, Camaro and Mustang. So yup, I'm jealous, I wish my parents had money to spend like that.

Personally, I drove a 86 Cougar.

Well, I live in the boonies and our buses are doubled up with HS and MS students. Thus they're crowded and filled with the most annoying creatures ever known to man. And then there's the issue of getting to/from places other than school. We don't HAVE transit buses. We USED TO have *ONE* bus stop, but they discontinued that when some woman in a wheelchair got hurt up here. Decided it was cheaper to discontinue that route (used by a whole 3 people) than to chance people getting hurt on the long trip over some dangerous (for an MTA bus) roads. Oh, and the bus stop was at the park & ride, which is at least 3 miles from anywhere. You had to drive to get to it.

That's my excuse :p

One car. 81 Chev Citation. All happy when I bought it for $400 only to crash within the first hour into a tree, and spend another $600 on repair.

I was assuming that HS students have access to a working public transportation system.
Where I live, even small towns have several coaches and/or trains stopping by every now and then.
