When I was really young I used to love my Big Wheel. Would ride that thing all over the place.
As I got older, it was GI Joe, Transformers, Star Wars toys. Used to build forts from lincoln logs for them.

For me... Legos! Hands down. I could take apart my toys and rebuild them all I wanted without pissing my parents off 😀

Lucky one you were. My dad would flip out when I did that. He actually made me rebuild them from the manual...

you think thats bad? my dad would give me a time limit to build them and if i didnt finish it in time or got one peice wrong he would beat me mercilessly with a baseball bat, then make me do it again but one minute faster.

You were lucky to have a lake! There were 150 of us living in a shoebox in the middle of the road! 😉

I loved my K'nex sets. Also Legos. Also Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Also Barbie. Also Play-Doh.

Still got some of those, too.
We used to play "Monopoly helps the arms race", Monopoly board with various military Micro-Machines and extra rules 😛

Instead of a Big Wheel, I had one of these.

At age 12 my favorite toys were my Rollerblades, ribbon dancer and my cassette of Nirvana Nevermind played on a My First Sony. Good times. 🙂

HO trains, Tonka trucks, AMT car model kits, Kenner Girder and Panel Bridge and Turnpike sets, Jensen steam engine.

When I was about 3, I had a little rag doll named Alice. I took her everywhere with me.

When I was about 5-7 my favorite "toy" was crayons and construction paper

When I was 8-12 Barbie was it.

Wow, those pics brought back memories. My sister purchased most of my toys and video games when I was kid; but my dad threw them out for no reason at all.

If video games count, then my NES, and later my Sega Genesis.

If not, then my collection of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures.

i had adventure people and NES. but my all time fave thing at 12 was my skateboard.

I think I had that one. Probably broke it though cause all I could find were some of the bubble hatches and the mini-vehicle. Damn, I still remember how happy I was when my special order toys came from the Habro 'club'/points store.

Lucky you, I'm jealous. Anyone remember how much it originally cost back then? I found a used one on ebay for $175.00 but I don't want to spend that kind of money. Still, I'd like to have for display.

hope youre not being sarcastic lol. No clue about the price, though since I got it for christmas and we were quite poor Id have to say 40 bucks or less.

Commodore 64, with Lego's being a close second.

By 12 y/o I had already wrote my own sprite based 2 player game that accepted input from both joystick ports. The performance was crap, but by the time I was 14 I had optimized it by rewritting parts of it in assembly.

I could literally spend days working on it, and enjoyed every minute of it.
