When you turn 22, the possibility that you might be mortal kinda hits home i found...

I suddenly realise i'm getting old, society expects me to start being more responsible, it's been 5 years since i could legally get into a pub/club so the excitement of that is wearing off, i can't drink like i used to be able to at college, i've got a job, i've been going out with my missus for nearly 5 years, living with her for two, i've got masses of bills to pay, we've got to book the kitty in a cattery over Christmas, one of our cars needs a service, the lawn needs mowing again...

You get the picture, basically i'm waking up to the rest of my life in the real world 😉

But enough of the bitching, i'm still relatively young i guess 😎 It's just that 22 isn't a very 'cool' age, i guess the next milestone is 30...

Heh, I thought the same thing. 22 was when I started getting my life on track. I got a decent career, started college again. Good times. It was a lot of work, but they were good times.

Now at 24 I'm working on a life-time career.

I hope to be settled into a career by 24 too 🙂

Life time carrer by 24? Good luck, I'm over 40 and still trying to decide what I want to be when I grow up! 🙂

29 is a little tough for me, although I started my career at 25.

29 for me =

Getting back with my wife after being separated for 3 years, we were still married just lived 3000 miles apart and saw each other every 3-6months
Her getting pregnant within the first week of me being back, before this we had been married 7 years and never pregnant
Me starting a good but very stressful job
Building a new home

so some life altering stuff this year.

I did however truly enjoy year 28.

Hahahaha, now just wait till you start popping out the chillins, that'll be your REAL eye opener 😉

Edit: and congradulations on the reception of responsiblity. Not everyone realizes that you cannot spend your whole life partying and not caring about your future.

Same here. I'm 35 and haven't even started my college career yet, let alone figured out what I want to be when I grow up! I definitely don't want to keep doing what I'm doing now...

I agree...

I suspect that the best years of life are 18-22 (i.e. college) and then maybe 40s because by 40s you have some time to spend a bit of money (ideally).

Well, I work for a very, very large company and the sky is really the limit as far as moving up the ladder goes.

OK, just wanted to be sure you were not referring to a "place of ill repute" (aka bordello)
