Depends on what it is. If I say, "I'm not going to paint your house for free", I'm pretty sure I'd stick by it.
If I say, "I'm not going to eat for three days", that would be harder.

hard for me to say forever. i may feel pity at the last moment and say something to my dad before his final death rattle.

edit: another example is that i told myself last year that i was going to stop drinking sodas (used to be a 3-4 cans/day habit). ive been going 19 months strong, with no urge to drink soda again.
