When you reinstall Win2K, can you just reinstall the OS and leave existing apps, stuff, etc?

I probably need to reinstall win2k because of EZ CD Creator (which is major suck). Can I reinstall win2k without reformatting and deleting all non-OS files?

Yes, you can usually get away with a reinstall, or a system Repair (booting from the CDROM).

Most of the time, most apps will remain as they were before the reinstall or repair. There may be some things that you need to reapply, such as the service pack, and sometimes other small things, such as if you made the upgrade to Diskeeper 5.xx full version.

Yea, try a system repair before you reinstall.

I personally prefer to do reformat and clean install rather than installing on top of 2000. Takes more time but I feel that it totally gets rid of any conflicts I might be having with software.
