Living in Wisconsin or anywhere in the midwest if you do want to be Fred Flinstoneing it in 5 years time you better wash that NASTY salt off your vehicle.

Which one do you think gives the best wash for the buck?

Our local car wash offers a coupon book (6 washes for $20) or they cost $6 per wash.

A good car wash is about $20 or so. However, if you just want a wash, you can get one for $2.

Grab bucket, fill with wash'n'wax, park vehicle in the shade, drag the hose out, rinse her down and wash away, anything else is a waste of my hard earned money.

In the winter it is the $7 touchless which does a good job at cleaning off the salt. In the summer it is hand-only.

The Works $12 here, which is the same price as everyone elses top wash here. But they give you a free wash within a week, so it works out to about $6, plus I usually get a 3 pack which lowers the price $2.

I would wash my own car, but our water is so bad, hard water that leaves tons of spots all over, I tried even the Mr Clean wash thing, the filter was bad halfway through my first wash.

theres this one place by all the nice car dealers-takes about 20-30 minutes for a car wash, but they do most of the interior and exterior for around $30. I'd get that about every month or so.

I usually wash my car by hand, but during the winter I'll go to an automatic place and get the middle of the road or the works, depending on how frugal I feel on that day.

Where I live if you don't wash your car during the winter the salt will destroy the finish.
