I always like going to the zoo, or as others mentioned: museums, planteriums, or, putt putt golf. or, any kind of carnival with rides and games...it give each of you to see the other persons fun, "inner child" come out,and that can be a turn on! About the restraunt thing... go to one, but dont make it the "main event". And, no matter where you go, suggest getting something for dessert... girls love that you offer dessert! And, NO not "that" kind of dessert either!;)

Yea thats the kind of stuff Im looking for, but my town and the surrounding towns are pretty uneventful. There are not places around here, that I can find, where we can do this. I plan on going to the beach and spending a weekend down there because they have stuff like that down there. Every place up here that I know of that had these activities are now closed :(

Not really dates, but I ask the girls I like if they'd like to go running (jogging some time) or play some tennis.

How about, since is nearing the end of the season, to go ice-skating at the local rink, or something snow related since it won't be around for much longer.

I cant dance
My wife and I ran out of things to do. We got in a little rut - especially since we are still in college and cannot afford a lot of things - and were looking hard for something to do. Being dragged to a Friday night social dance was probably the best thing that anyone has ever done for us. We delayed going time after time - since we weren't sure what to expect. But eventually we caved and went. Now we are hooked (so much that my wife became a dance instructor). We love latin dancing the most (salsa, cha-cha, rumba, etc) but ballroom and swing are also fun (anything but country). I suggest you try it.

Here are some of the positive things I can think of about dancing:
1) Inexpensive entertainment that can be just a dance or a whole evening.
2) Many traveling dances (foxtrot, waltz, tango, etc) are supposed to be danced with body contact. Depending on your body shape (thin, fat, pear, etc) your thighs/pelvis/stomach/chest will be pressed up to an attractive womans's thighs/pelvis/stomach/chest. This is a VERY good way to get a relationship to the next level. Need I say more about this topic?
3) You can use it for the rest of your life. I see people in their 90's dancing beautifully - my wife has one student who is 88.
4) It comes in handy. We have two weddings on Saturday to go to. We barely know the brides and don't even know the first names of the grooms. Usually this would be a boring event, but we are now really looking forward to the receptions. Also think class reunions, cruises, nightclubs, etc.
5) It is great for your body (fun exercise, I finally got good posture gaining a full 2 inches in height from my old posture, etc).
6) Social interaction with new people is really beneficial. I used to be extremely shy (too shy to order my food at a restaurant and needed my mom to order it even when I was 17 ). The interaction you get from social dancing has finally brought me out of my shell. I've seen someone who was even shyer than that start asking out women for the first time in his life after dancing (he is nearly 50 years old). I've seen people depressed for years from death/work problems/family issues finally emerge from depression after finding dancing. It is a safe way to get 2 minutes of attention from a stranger - and you don't even have to come up with an excuse or say a thing. Eventually enough of these small interactions and it really helps a lot of people.

Yeah dancing IS fun, but I'm not all that good at it. But I know, some basic ballroom, waltz, swing. And from the looks of it all girls my age (~21) are into it (the traditional dancing stuff). Yeah it seems like something old people would do, but its pretty fun. It nice to just go up and ask your friends (or any girl) if they'd like to dance:)

Maybe sign up for some group dancing lessons? You two could have a good time. Depending on how cool your partner is into trying new stuff, having a good laugh, and with constant physical contact for the duration of the 2 hour lesson;)

All kinda stuff.
Museum / opera
Dancing
Bowling
Skating
Dinner and Movie (The old standby)

Walks in the park...IF its a gentle rain and you dont mind getting wet. I love the rain, something romantic about it. Sucks if its windy though. And, you can bring an umbrella if you dont wanna get wet, and your assured of being close n personal, which also can be very romantic. Going for a nice walk through the rain (Again, provided its a gentle rain)

Skiing
Lake
Diving
Parachuting

I like to keep it interesting. EVERYONE seems to do the dinner & movie. Do something different. Hell, just go with the flow and be spontaneous.

Well, depends on how well you know the person...

If it's a first date with some fairly random person you don't know well, you need something like a movie or a theater show, because even though you can't talk during it, it sparks convo later... and if you don't know the person at all, and you cut straight to dinner, being quiet during that can have her x you out in her mind.

If it's someone you've been friends with or have talked to a bit, then you should do something much more sociable then a movie. Here, I typically go nice dinner and then some swing or spanish dancing. It's intriging for them to see that you can move yourself, if they aren't totally comfortable with it you can offer them "lessons" and boom, you're in the door. Swing is key, because it gives you a chance to test your boundaries, and is a great feel good, light hearted night.

Laugh if you will, but mini-golf is awesome too. Definitely brings out the young in you, and lets you have fun.

Me and my ex loved the beach after midnight. It's eerie and romantic. Nobody would be around to distract at whatever we were doing. I also know a few really really romantic Italian restaurants in my area. Girls fall for my charm everytime we are there. Dave and Buster is a fun place to be. It is a mix of restaurant/bar/pool/arcades/theatres. Yah and movie sucks, not for the first few dates anyway. If you have like 10 hrs with her then movie may be a good idea to fill in the time slot. Otherwise skip it till the later dates.

play "run from the muggers" in a run-down part of a city. Really gets the blood going, and they say that in a near death situation, you get really horney.:)
