Don't put your hands behind your neck. I touch my fingertips to my temples and just do the crunches.

Couple of ways to do them. First is put ur feet up and cross them, hands behind your head and keep them straight out. Don't let ur neck bend.

Second is get someone to hold your feet, cross your arms and tuck your hands into ur armpits.

Christmas break wreaked havoc on my six pack. Trying to regain them. Started w/ 2/6 and am up to 4/6. GOTTA LOVE PT.

PT, PT EVERY DAY; BUILD MY BODY THE MARINE CORPS WAY!!!!:D

Although I'm in no shape to be giving advice, try crossing your arms across your chest with your fingers touching your shoulders.

Try to extend your spine and don't let your neck curl. Resist looking at your legs, look up. Don't pull on the neck, concentrate on your abs and lifting your shoulder blades off the ground.

IF I had a nickel for every time I saw someone doing arm-assisted neck curls at the gym when they thought they were doing crunches

so many ways of doing curls

my fav's are the ones where you put your legs in the air, and do small crunches to bring your face to your knees....you cant use your kneck in that one coz it hurts, and you dont get anywhere, then there are reverse curls....love those badboys

Put your hands behind your head (with your arms out parallel to the floor), keep your back straight, and just lift up your neck slightly and drop back down.

Oh yes.. reverse curls work like a charm.. absolutely no strain on the neck nor back for me... I can definitely feel my abs working there =]
